Fresh Ink Festival | Theatre al Dente

Are you a playwright with an original short play? A director or aspiring director? Interested in stage management?

We invite you to to submit your work or interest to our Second Annual Fresh Ink Festival!

Play Submission Guidelines:

- Length: Plays must be 45 minutes or less.

- Content: PG-13 rating (suitable for teens and up).

- Staging: Minimal technical requirements; designed for small theatre spaces.

- Deadline: Submit by November 30th

How to Submit:

- Play title

- Approximate running time

- Contact information

- Any content warnings

Writers Workshops:

-Getting your play ready? Join our optional peer workshops on December 6, 13, and 27th, from 4-8 pm.

Our experienced artistic director will facilitate readings and constructive feedback, helping you polish your script.

Auditions & Performances:

- Auditions will be held in January.

- Performances take place March 5, 6, 7, and 11, 12, 13 at 7pm.

- Each selected play is guaranteed one performance, with the possibility of additional shows depending on the number of festival entries.

Directors Wanted

-Whether you’re experienced or new to directing, we want you!

-New directors will be paired with a mentor for support in this low-stress environment.

Stage Management Opportunities:

- We are seeking assistant stage managers to work alongside the festival manager. They would be in charge of one or more individual shows.
